About a year ago, Gregg Myles Levin, inventor and President of Perfect Curve Inc. and Head of Business at Curve Design Group Inc., saw a video of a dog owner spreading peanut butter on his shower wall to distract his dog while being washed. Levin thought "great idea, but lousy execution; nobody wants food on their bathroom walls."
Thinking "there has to be a better way," Levin came up with a food-grade Silicon "pad" that would stick to the wall and be used to hold any spreadable food a dog enjoys, such as peanut butter. Just days later his company had designed and 3D-printed its first prototype; thus, the Lick Lick Pad was born. Testing began the next day and within a month they had their winning design that would be one of five products recognized as a finalist for the Global Innovation Award (GIA) for product design excellence in the pet category by the International Housewares Association (IHA) just four months later.
