LiDestri Hits the 'Refresh' Button with New Name and Industry-Leading Website
FAIRPORT, N.Y., July 20, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- LiDestri Food and Drink has changed its name to better reflect the company's comprehensive capabilities as a modern contract manufacturer, as it simultaneously launches LiDestriFoodandDrink.com, a world class and industry-leading website.
The company's previous name, LiDestri Foods, reflects an era when the company was almost exclusively a contract manufacturer of pasta sauces and salsas. The new name reflects the addition of fast-growing divisions for beverage and spirits in recent years, expanding the company's continued and diversified offerings in dips, sauces and salsas.
While LiDestri has always pushed boundaries with creative processes and products, the addition of an anchor Innovation Center in Rochester has increased its R&D power for national brands and private label customers. Atypical of contract manufacturing relationships, two high-profile longtime customers give video testimony for LiDestri's new website. Newman's Own CEO Mike McGrath discusses his company's 30-year relationship with LiDestri, which began when Paul Newman and Giovanni LiDestri cooked up their first pasta sauce together. More recently, McGrath and LiDestri collaborated on Common Good, a new organic line of pasta sauces.

The groundbreaking new website was an initiative of Stefani LiDestri, who transitions this week from chief marketing officer to co-president of the company alongside her brother, John C. LiDestri.
