LIDS Foundation's "Tip the Hat Award" Seeks to Award $300,000 in Charitable Grants

INDIANAPOLIS, Dec. 15, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The LIDS Foundation, a charitable 501(c)(3) organization and the philanthropic support arm of LIDS Sports Group, is presently accepting applications for its largest annual grant, the "Tip the Hat Award." Now in its third year, the grant program has nearly doubled in size, offering a total of $300,000 in funding for 2015.

"Our future lies in the hands of today's children," notes Scott Molander, LIDS Foundation Board president and COO of LIDS Sports Group. "As such, LIDS Foundation works toward the advancement of youth support organizations that promote active and healthy lifestyles as well as leadership and growth opportunities."

Seeking Five Grantees

With a mission to support healthy and active youth programs, the LIDS Foundation is in search of charitable organizations with a similar focus. This year, the following grants will be awarded to the top five grant winners:

• First place: $125,000
• Second place: $75,000
• Third place: $50,000
• Fourth place: $25,000
