"Life Form" Exhibition Opens in Sacramento, CA
Digital Photography Pioneer Stephen Johnson's Latest Work on Display At Viewpoint Photographic Art Center
PACIFICA, Calif., March 8, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- An extraordinary collection of works by noted photographer Stephen Johnson will be on display at Viewpoint Photographic Art Center, beginning March 10th, 2018. An Artist's Opening Reception will be held from 5:00 to 9:00 PM (PST) on that date. Viewpoint Photographic Art Center is located at 2015 J St Suite 101, Sacramento, CA 95811.
The Life Form Series comes from Johnson's lifelong fascination with organic form and design. Not only has he found solace in the natural world, but his respect for all living things has profoundly affected how he has lived his life. Johnson's photographic work has long reflected this interest and respect.

Following the artist's reception, the "Life Form" images may also be viewed during regular gallery hours which are Tuesday-Saturday, from 10AM until 3 PM. Mr. Johnson helped birth the era of digital photography via his lush, large format digital photographs captured throughout the U.S. national parks system in the 1990s. He has consulted and advised most of the major industry players through their transition into today's digital photographic world. Johnson has maintained his commitment to the "real witness of real scenes" approach to photography and has taught thousands of students in his photography workshops.
Stephen Johnson is a Canon Explorer of Light as well as a landscape photographer, designer and teacher. In 2003 he was inducted into the Photoshop Hall of Fame. X-Rite named him as a founding member of their exclusive Coloratti color experts group in 2007. Stephen's books include At Mono Lake, the award winning and critically acclaimed The Great Central Valley: California's Heartland, Making a Digital Book and Stephen Johnson on Digital Photography.
