Life Sciences Practice Gains Patent Prowess as Daniel Becker Joins Fenwick

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., July 8, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Prominent Silicon Valley-based law firm, Fenwick & West, today announced that Daniel M. Becker, M.D., has joined the firm as a partner in its intellectual property practice. Becker represents pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies in all areas of patent counseling, including lifecycle management, patent portfolio development and restructuring, peer review of patent portfolios, and IP diligence in advance of financings, mergers, acquisitions and other liquidity events.

Becker has been practicing intellectual property law for more than two decades. He earned his J.D. from Stanford Law School. Prior to law school, Becker conducted research under two prestigious postdoctoral fellowships. He earned an M.D. with research honors from Stanford University School of Medicine after earning an undergraduate degree from Harvard University where he graduated magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, with additional honors.
