Life-Tech Inc. and SRS Medical Announce Strategic Partnership

STAFFORD, Texas, Aug. 7, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Life-Tech, a leading provider of urodynamic equipment and accessories, announced today that it has signed a strategic distribution partnership agreement with SRS Medical, a urology medical device company. This partnership enables Life-Tech to sell the CT3000 UroCuff^TM  system and accessories in North America.

The CT3000 UroCuff system performs a non-invasive analysis of male voiding pressure using a principal analogous to blood pressure measurement with an inflatable cuff. The test differentiates between bladder outlet obstruction (BOO) and low bladder pressure. With over 50 clinical publications, the CT3000 has demonstrated a success rate for identifying BOO equivalent to that achieved by catheter-based urodynamic pressure–flow studies.

The system is quick and easy to use and comfortable for patients. The penile cuff is fitted to the patient who then voids into a flow meter.  The resulting reports include a nomogram that divides the pressure/flow measurement into Obstructed, Equivical and Non-Obstructed categories.
