LiftMaster to Showcase New Wi-Fi® Garage Door Opener and Other Innovations at 2016 International Builders' Show

LiftMaster will also display the innovative Model 8500, which mounts on the wall next to the garage door rather than on the ceiling. This unique design creates a clean interior appearance and can free the garage ceiling for additional storage, if desired. The opener also features optional Battery Backup and the ability to monitor and control the system through a smartphone with the free MyQ app.    

An in-booth demonstration of how LiftMaster MyQ technology integrates with Nest Cam will also be featured at IBS 2016. While MyQ has always alerted users to garage door activity via smart phone push notifications, with Nest Cam, users can now access a video feed of what's happening in the garage the moment the garage door is activated, allowing for enhanced security and peace-of-mind. 

In addition to its garage door openers, LiftMaster will feature a working display of its Model RSW12U DC Residential/Light Duty Commercial Swing Gate Operator. Offering security and connectivity, this new gate operator provides homebuyers with Battery Backup, unsurpassed solar performance, a powerful DC motor, and the ability to control the gate with LiftMaster's free MyQ app. It is also compliant with the new 2016 UL325 (Underwriters Laboratories) gate safety guidelines, which incorporates monitored safety protection devices at each entrapment point and includes capabilities to monitor for fault conditions of external entrapment protection devices.

Also featured at the LiftMaster booth, and offering unrivaled performance for single- and multi-family construction are:

• IPAC (Internet Protocol Access Control), the first Internet-enabled outdoor access control system with Voice-over Internet Protocol (VoIP).
