Ligne Roset Celebrates Togo Anniversary With Alcantara®

NEW YORK, June 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Ligne Roset, the French luxury furniture brand, is celebrating the 40^th anniversary of its well-known Togo seating collection with a unique houndstooth material from Alcantara.

Originally designed by Michel Ducharoy in 1973, Ligne Roset's Togo collection recently was featured in the VIP Lounge at Wanted Design's Conversation Series in Manhattan during New York design week (May 17-20).

For the occasion, a new version of the iconic Togo sofa covered in "pied-de-poule" or houndstooth-printed Alcantara – named "Roma" in Alcantara's Interior Collection - highlighted the long-standing partnership between the well-known French and Italian brands. The lounge area also was furnished with sofas upholstered in a variety of other Alcantara colors.

Ligne Roset sponsored Wanted Design and its Conversation Series with support from Metropolis magazine. The discussion series focused on industry trends, the business of design and creative design processes. "We feel that Wanted Design's increase in attendance and interest over the past few years mirrors the public's interest in design," said Antoine Roset, executive vice president of Roset USA Corporation.

Alcantara's Interior Collection, especially designed for Alcantara by Giulio Cappellini and Paola Navone, offers a wide variety of embossed, laminated, pleated and embroidered furniture coverings in addition to Roma, its printed houndstooth design.
