Lincoln Helps Connecticut Nursing Students Set Their Pace Towards New Careers

WEST ORANGE, N.J., Dec. 17, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Lincoln Educational Services Corporation (NASDAQ: LINC), a national leader in specialized technical training and a driving force in helping students turn their passion into professional success, now offers up to $5,000 Pace Setter Scholarships to eligible students across Connecticut looking to begin training for careers in Practical Nursing. Employment opportunities for Licensed Practical and Licensed Vocational Nurses are expected to see 13% growth in Connecticut by 2020, according to careerinfonet.org.  The award is available to qualifying students who begin a Lincoln program before September 30, 2014.

This scholarship will be available to students enrolled in Practical Nursing day programs at Lincoln's campuses in Hamden, New Britain and Shelton, CT.  Once enrolled, students will train in simulated Hospital Classrooms and take part in a variety of clinical experiences throughout their program.  As they gain practical skills and clinical knowledge, students will also prepare for the material they'll face on the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN).
