Lincoln International Announces Global Managing Director Promotions
CHICAGO, Feb. 11, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Lincoln International, a leading global, mid-market investment bank, today announced the promotion of four Directors to Managing Director. Teresa Clegg (London), Gaurav Marathe (Mumbai), Scott Twibell (New York) and Sam Valenzisi (Chicago) are now Managing Directors. Together, the group has over 50 years of experience in financial advisory services, of which more than 25 have been at Lincoln International. They will further strengthen Lincoln's global industry coverage efforts in Aerospace & Defense, Consumer, Healthcare and Information Services, as well as coverage of North American financial sponsors.

Teresa Clegg joined Lincoln International's London office in 2008 as a Vice President and has been integral to the growth and success of the firm's global Aerospace & Defense Group. Ms. Clegg has spent over 15 years in investment banking, of which 12 years have been dedicated to the aerospace and defense sector. Much of Ms. Clegg's experience involves cross-border transactions; she has worked with clients in Asia, Europe and North America. Prior to joining Lincoln International, Ms. Clegg was a member of Jefferies Group's aerospace and defense team in London. She commenced her investment banking career at CSFB and Merrill Lynch. Ms. Clegg holds a Master of Arts degree from Cambridge University.
Gaurav Marathe joined Lincoln International's Mumbai office when it opened in 2011 as a Director and played a key role in establishing Lincoln's footprint in India. Mr. Marathe has over 12 years of experience in financial advisory, with an emphasis on the consumer, pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. His experience includes capital raising through private equity transactions, debt syndication, bond placements, and M&A transactions with financial and strategic buyers. Prior to joining Lincoln International, Mr. Marathe established the private equity syndication business at India Advisory Partners and was instrumental in establishing the Advisory business at Almondz Global Securities. Mr. Marathe holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Holkar Science College, Devi Ahilya Vishwa Vidhyalaya, Indore and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
Scott Twibell joined Lincoln International's New York office in 2011 as a Vice President. As a senior member of the firm's Business Services Group, Mr. Twibell focused on information services transactions. With his promotion to Managing Director and Co-Head of Lincoln International's North American Technology & Media Group, Mr. Twibell will lead deal teams to execute transactions in the technology sector and will actively market the services of Lincoln International. Mr. Twibell has 12 years of financial advisory experience which includes a position at Harbor Hills Partners that focused on merger and acquisition advisory and a role at Credit Suisse in the Leveraged Finance Origination and Restructuring group. Before beginning his career in advisory services, Mr. Twibell gained extensive knowledge of the technology sector having been a founder and CEO of Aspora, a SaaS data management company. Mr. Twibell earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Columbia Business School and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Management Systems from New York University.
Sam Valenzisi joined Lincoln International's Chicago office in 2005 as an Associate. Mr. Valenzisi has 17 years of experience in financial advisory services, both in mergers and acquisitions and in public equities. In his current role as a senior member of the firm's Financial Sponsors Group, Mr. Valenzisi applies his transaction execution experience and intimate knowledge of Lincoln's global capabilities to establish and strengthen the firm's relationships with the North American financial sponsor community, which includes private equity groups, family offices and other direct investment capital sources. Prior to joining the Financial Sponsors Group, Mr. Valenzisi executed sell-side and buy-side M&A transactions for over seven years as part of Lincoln International's global Industrials Group. Mr. Valenzisi earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and holds both Master of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism.
