Lincoln Tech Celebrates 100th Graduate from Hussmann Partnership Program

WEST ORANGE, N.J., March 10, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- Lincoln Educational Services Corporation (NASDAQ: LINC), a national leader in specialized automotive and skilled trades career training, announced the most recent class of graduates from a unique Hussmann training program that included the 100^th student to complete the program and go on to a full-time HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration) technician position.  Hussmann, known around the world as a leading producer of commercial refrigeration equipment, has sponsored the program at Lincoln Tech's Grand Prairie, TX campus since early 2018 in an effort to train and hire new talent for its teams across the United States.

The latest graduating class includes 13 students, bringing the two-year total to 106 graduates for the program.  Applicants accepted into the program come from Lincoln Tech campuses across the country and are relocated to Grand Prairie for the two month Hussmann training, with expenses, housing and tuition all covered by Hussmann.  All students who successfully completed the program were then offered positions with Hussmann as technicians – giving the employer an opportunity to add more than 100 new hires during this time period.

Lincoln Tech teamed with Hussmann, a Panasonic Company, to build the TechX training facility at the Lincoln campus in Grand Prairie. The TechX Training Center is outfitted with Hussmann commercial refrigeration units and other equipment so that students can build skills specifically suited to Hussmann technologies.

If you've shopped in a supermarket lately, chances are good that there were Hussmann-built freezers and refrigeration units keeping produce cold and fresh.  Lincoln Tech's Grand Prairie campus has served as the nation's first training site for students pursuing commercial HVAC/R careers with Hussmann.  Not enough candidates in today's job market have the proper skills for installing, repairing and maintaining HVAC/R equipment, and there is an extremely high demand for trained technicians.
