HOUSTON, Sept. 12, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Danielle Goldbeck, process engineer at Linde Engineering North America Inc. (LENA), will compare plate fin heat exchanger (PFHE) rating methods and the advantages of integration into full process plant simulation at GasPro Americas 2016, to be held September 13-14 in Houston.
At 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Goldbeck will make a presentation on plate fin heat exchanger modelling. She will discuss the growing need to model NGL plant performance under off-design conditions. "With plant standardization on the rise in the industry, engineers need a reliable method to predict plant performance under variable conditions. As the primary technology for cooling in the NGL plant, modelling PFHE performance provides a good indication of complete plant performance," said Goldbeck.
"Completely integrating a rigorous exchanger tool with the entire process simulation is the best way to predict plant performance. This gives the process engineer confidence in the simulation," said Thomas Walter, Manager of Process Engineering and co-author of the presentation.
Linde manufactures and employs its PFHEs across its plant technologies for NGL and LNG, including STANDARD-PLUS™ and CRYO-PLUS™ NGL recovery plants and the StarLNG™ small-to midscale LNG plants.
GasPro Americas 2016 will explore the latest gas processing developments, from field gathering to plant design to LNG technology.
