Linde to hold a Jobs Fair for truck drivers to serve the Houston market

HOUSTON, June 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Houston area truck drivers looking for an excellent paying job with great benefits are invited to attend a Jobs Fair, to be held by Linde North America, a member of The Linde Group, a world leading gases and engineering company.

The Jobs Fair will take place at the Springhill Suites, 5169 I-10 East Baytown, Texas (281-421-1200) on:

• Friday, June 20 – 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Saturday, June 21 – 9:00 PM to 3:00 PM

Hiring personnel, including distribution, safety and training managers, will be on site conducting the interviews. Actual driver testing will also be performed at the site.

Linde is building a state-of-the-art air separation unit (ASU) at the Houston Ship Channel with a transportation hub in Baytown that is part of a more than $200 million Linde investment that includes a gasification train, creating the world's largest gas-based partial oxidation complex for the production of syngas products for petrochemicals. The ASU, the largest such Linde plant in the U.S., will produce liquid oxygen, nitrogen and argon for delivery to the rapidly growing market for industrial gases in the Houston Channel area. Interested applicants should bring with them a Class A commercial driver's license with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, a valid medical card and, if possible, a recent motor vehicle report. Successful candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, at least three years verifiable driving experience and be accident-free for at least three years.
