ANN ARBOR, Mich., June 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- After serving 2 years as President and COO for NSK Americas, Inc. Brian Lindsay has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer, CEO, and a Vice President of NSK Ltd. Current CEO, Masahide Matsubara, and a Vice President of NSK Ltd., will be promoted to Senior Vice President and Deputy Head of the Industrial Machinery Business Division at the Japan Headquarters.

During his two years tenure as COO, Lindsay was responsible for restructuring the management team and steered the Americas region through the economic crisis. His efforts helped put the division firmly back into sustainable profitability with excellent growth prospects.

Prior to NSK, Brian served as President for TI Automotive in their Global Fuel Systems Division in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Brian has more than 30 years experience in the industry, predominantly automotive. His executive responsibilities have included operations throughout Europe, Asia, Brazil and North America.
A native of Motherwell, Scotland, Lindsay has a bachelor's degree in language and business from Edinburgh University in Scotland and a degree in marketing from the Institute of Marketing in Maidenhead, England. Brian is fluent in German and French. He began his business career at T&N plc, where he rose to president of the company's U.S.-based Ferodo division. He later became chief operations officer of ACD Tridon Europe.
