SUNNYVALE, Calif., June 4, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- LitePoint announced today that customers are ramping production of the next generation of WiFi products with the new 802.11ac WiFi standard using its IQxel™ test system. The LitePoint® IQxel allows companies to rapidly bring the first 802.11ac products to consumers.
The new standard 802.11ac enables speeds at least three times faster than the prior generation, with a much higher quality of coverage. Called "5th generation WiFi" or "Gigabit WiFi," 802.11ac technology enables consumers to watch higher resolution video wirelessly with better quality than ever before; eliminating pixilated screens, choppy video and blurred images.
HY Lee, CEO of Arcadyan Technology Corporation said, "Being the first to market with 5G Wi-Fi routers, we relied on LitePoint IQxel test solutions to get our product to market fast. IQxel is an excellent total solution, including the production test suites developed with the chipset vendors."
Brad Robbins, senior vice president of Marketing at LitePoint said, "Device makers are facing very tight time to market pressures. They need to ramp from first silicon to products on store shelves quickly. Our IQxel test system makes scaling to volume production easy with its combination of full 802.11ac test coverage, software compatibility to our industry standard IQflex systems, and chipset solutions."
LitePoint's IQxel test systems are available today.
