NEW YORK, July 18, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- LittleMissMatched (LittleMissMatched.com), the innovative tween brand with the mission of encouraging individual style and self-expression, has donated $45,000 worth of pajamas to the nonprofit organization Sweet Dreams for Kids.
Based in Minnesota, Sweet Dreams for Kids donates new pajamas to kids & teens in the hospital, delivering smiles and a feeling of home. Since its creation in 2008, the organization has donated over 10,000 pairs of pajamas to hospitals nationwide. "We know it does not take away any of the worries when a child is sick, but we hope it brings comfort," said founder Wendy Berezovsky.
LittleMissMatched is excited and proud to be supporting the efforts of this worthy organization. "With a store at Minnesota's Mall of America, we are thrilled to be helping so many in our community," said Tori Smyly Banu, VP of Marketing.
Some of the LittleMissMatched pajamas have already made their way to patients at the following hospitals:
- Children's Hospitals & Clinics of Minnesota
- Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park
- Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Upper Midwest
- Shriners Hospitals for Children in the Twin Cities
- University of Minnesota Amplatz Children's Hospital
In recognition of this donation, a Pajama Breakfast will be held at the University of Minnesota Amplatz Children's Hospital on Wednesday, July 25th. Patients and their families will gather from 10-11am in the Family Resource Center, where each child will have the opportunity to pick out a new pair of PJs.
By solving the age-old problem of the disappearing sock, LittleMissMatched boldly declares "Matching is Overrated!" LittleMissMatched started in 2003 with a very simple mission: build a tween brand that is FUN, inspires CREATIVITY, embraces individual STYLE, celebrates self Xpression and empowers girls to be YOUnique. Headquartered in New York City, LittleMissMatched has 13 retail stores in the U.S. and can be shopped online at LittleMissMatched.com. While LittleMissMatched started with socks sold in packs of 3, the brand recognized that there's an entire universe out there who shares its passion for creativity and self-expression -- socks were just the beginning. From books to bedding, PJs to pencil pouches and flip flops to furniture, LittleMissMatched says, "think outside the socks". Be BOLD. YOUbeYOU.
