NEW YORK, Feb. 22, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- LIVE with Kelly and Michael co-host, Michael Strahan, unveiled his never-before-seen figure during this morning's live broadcast of the top-rated, nationally-syndicated talk show. The New York media personality already has a long list of achievements under his belt including being inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame and receiving a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Host in an Entertainment Talk Show, and now he has been immortalized with his own figure at Madame Tussauds New York.
During a session with Madame Tussauds studio artists, over 250 precise measurements were taken of Michael in order to complete his true-to-life likeness. From there, approximately 15 artists worked on Michael's figure over the course of four months. Hair insertion alone took nearly six weeks with over 150,000 individual hairs inserted by hand.

After making its debut live, on-air, the Strahan figure traveled back to Madame Tussauds' iconic Times Square location. The hundreds-of-thousands who visit the legendary attraction each year will be able to see the figure in the Film & TV space, where Michael will join the figure of his co-host, Kelly Ripa. Visitors will be able to sit beside the two personalities in a replica of the LIVE with Kelly and Michael set as if they were guests on the popular morning show.
