Living in Digital Times Celebrates Innovation in its Last Gadget Standing and Mobile Apps Showdown at CES® 2016

NEW YORK, Oct. 14, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Each year thousands of products are launched at CES^® 2016 so how can you tell the stand-outs in the fast-moving world of technology? Living in Digital Times' Last Gadget Standing and Mobile Apps Showdown, two long-running CES contests that separate the best from the rest, are now accepting nominations.

Part entertainment and part high tech showmanship, these competitions recognize excellence and creativity across the innovation spectrum by having 10 finalists compete in a live presentation on the last day of CES. Through the competition, entrants will reach an international community of experts in the tech world, journalists who cover technology, potential partners and capital networks.  It is an opportunity to celebrate people who personify the epitome of innovation.  The deadline to enter is December 6, 2015.

Last Gadget Standing

Now in its 15^th year, it is one of the most anticipated events at CES, where finalists are posed to be game-changers or disruptors.  All entrants are intent on changing the way we live through their innovations.

Who Should Enter: CES exhibitors and participants who believe their gadgets have what it takes to win a live and online contest determining the "most likely to succeed product." The hottest new gadgets will compete to showcase how they are pioneering change and innovation in the digital landscape. 10 finalists are selected by a panel of expert judges and will be invited to CES for a live competition to demo their gadgets. Products should be new – not older than 2015, and must be shipping by Q2 of 2016. Winners will be chosen by audience vote online and at the live event. Special hosts are Gary "Baba Booey" Dell'Abate and Jon Hein, of the Howard Stern Wrap Up Show. Interested parties can apply here.

Fee: $900 for 1 entry; $1,700 for 2 entries; $2,400 for 3 entries.

Mobile Apps Showdown

With more than one billion smartphones in the world and millions of apps to choose from, how will your app get any attention?  Enter Mobile App Showdown, which is now in its seventh year.

Who should enter: CES exhibitors and participants who feel that their mobile app has what it takes to win a live and online contest determining the "most likely to succeed app." iOs, Android and Windows 8, as well as apps that power hardware, eyewear, wristwear and bodywear, will be accepted. Apps will be evaluated by editorial judges to determine the finalists. Winners will be determined by an audience vote online and at the live event. The special hosts are Gary "Baba Booey" Dell'Abate and Jon Hein of the Howard Stern Wrap Up Show.  Interested parties can apply here.

Fee: 1 app $600; 2 apps $1,200; 3 apps $1,500

Last Gadget Standing and the Mobile Apps Showdown are an entertaining and invigorating way to see the best in show as the people get to vote based on the criteria of "most likely to succeed product."  On January 8^th the finalists will showcase their innovations during the annual Last Gadget Standing and Mobile Apps Showdown live shows in front of a panel of judges who are some of the biggest names in their fields.
