Liza Landsman, President Of Jet.com, To Join NEA As Venture Partner
NEW YORK, Feb. 7, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Global venture capital firm New Enterprise Associates, Inc. (NEA) today announced that Liza Landsman will be joining the firm as Venture Partner in early spring. Landsman, who currently holds the position of President at Jet.com, a leading online retailer and former NEA portfolio company, will focus on consumer technology and commerce in her new role. She will be based out of the firm's New York City office.

During her tenure at Jet.com, Landsman was a key growth driver for the company, leveraging her strengths as an operator and quantitative marketer to successfully launch the brand online and via mobile, garnering strong NPS scores early on along with rapid user acquisition and growth. Under her leadership, Jet.com grew from a small startup to a large business, reaching $1 billion run rate in gross merchandise value in less than one year. Landsman was also an ardent advocate for social issues, helping launch Jet.com's social good program, JetCares, as well signing the Equal Pay Pledge to support continued diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

Landsman's knowledge and experience spans over 25 years directing customer engagement through internet, mobile, digital and social media. Before Jet.com, Landsman was chief marketing officer at E*TRADE Financial, leading the firm's marketing initiatives, including advertising, customer engagement, analytics and insights and branding campaigns. Landsman also served as the digital global head at BlackRock, Inc. and was responsible for firm-wide digital marketing strategy and operations. For a decade prior to BlackRock, Landsman headed customer engagement across internet and mobile platforms through multiple senior management positions at Citigroup. Earlier in her career, Landsman was director of new media for Writers House and director of business development for IBM's Consumer Division and Global Services Group. Landsman graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree from Cornell University.
In addition to leading Jet.com, and supporting the company's integration with Walmart following its 2016 acquisition, Landsman received numerous accolades for her leadership, including being spotlighted in Fortune's Most Powerful Women "Ones to Watch;" Chain Store Age's Top 10 Women in Retail Tech; and Total Retail's 2018 Top Women in Retail. She has served on several nonprofit boards, including the GO! Project, a New York City-based foundation that provides educational opportunities for children in need, where she has been a member since 2012.
