Logic Announces 29-Date "Everybody's Tour" With Support From Joey Bada$$ & Big Lenbo
TOUR KICKS OFF JULY 7 IN SALT LAKE CITY; TICKETS ON-SALE MAY 16 AT 10AM
LOGIC RECEIVES RAVE REVIEWS FOR NEW ALBUM "EVERYBODY"; PERFORMS ON "JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE!"; COVERS "COMPLEX MAGAZINE"
"On his third album, Maryland rap phenomenon Logic extends his sing-song speed-game rhymes for a wide, inclusive view of our imploding country -- if Kendrick Lamar's To Pimp a Butterfly was our There's a Riot Goin' On, then Logic's third LP takes a step back in the timeline to take a righteous Stand!... Logic has passion, a roster of guests with a history in righteous indignation (Chuck D, Killer Mike, Black Thought) and, most importantly, ridiculous skills." ROLLING STONE
"Logic's third album on Def Jam Records is finally here. While there are too many good songs to single out here, 'Confess,' featuring a Killer Mike freestyle speech, is worthy of attention….He goes on to say, 'So black I'm blue, so brown I'm down.' It's a statement that embodies the critical racial narratives represented throughout the whole album." NPR
NEW YORK, May 12, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Following the release of his new album EVERYBODY last week, today Def Jam Recordings/Visionary Music Group artist Logic announces "EVERYBODY'S TOUR" featuring support from Brooklyn upstart Joey Bada$$ and Big Lenbo.
The 29-date tour promoted by Live Nation kicks off July 7 in Salt Lake City and will stop in major markets such as Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta and Washington DC, with more to be announced. Pre-sale tickets are available starting May 15 at 10AM local time with all tickets for sale starting Tuesday, May 16 at 10AM local time. Visit Everybodystour.com for more details.
On tour, Logic will perform music off his new album EVERYBODY, which was released just last week to rave reviews. Rolling Stone highlighted Logic's "ridiculous skills" on the album while Pitchfork proclaimed EVERYBODY is an "album you should listen to now." This week, Logic was featured on the cover of Complex Magazine alongside famed astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, who is featured on the album, and delivered an rousing performance of his track "Black SpiderMan" on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live! featuring a choir, strings and dancers.
EVERYBODY features eclectic line-up, among them Neil deGrasse Tyson, Killer Mike, Alessia Cara, Khalid, Juicy J and more. Along with the album, Logic released an exclusive 45-minute documentary, which follows him through the album recording, giving fans unprecedented access to his life and creative process. EVERYBODY is the eagerly awaited follow-up to The Incredible True Story (2015). The monster 18-track long-player crafted a sci-fi space odyssey script that developed throughout the interludes on the album, and cemented Logic's status as one of music's most creative young MCs. In support of The Incredible True Story, Logic's 2016 Incredible World Tour crisscrossed North America from February through April.
The Incredible World Tour segued into The Endless Summer Tour, a sold-out 25-city run across the U.S. and Canada, co-headlined by Logic and G-Eazy. Coinciding with the tour, the Bobby Tarantino mixtape (July 2016) upped the ante, as Billboard declared "Logic heats up the summer with a new banger," while additional raves were piled on by Pitchfork, Spin, and Complex.
Logic, the 27-year-old rapper born Sir Robert Bryson Hall II, first broke free from the pack in 2014 with Under Pressure, his RIAA gold Def Jam album debut, which shocked the industry with a #2 chart debut. Hailed as one of the year's finest hip-hop debuts, Huffington Post crowned Under Pressure "2014's Best Hip-Hop Album So Far," iTunes named it "Best Hip Hop Album 2014," Artist Direct called it "The Best Debut of 2014," and MTV News nominated it as "Rap Album Of The Year Contender." The buzz earned Logic performances on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Lollapalooza, Wireless Festival UK, Governor's Ball, and a headline world tour.
