Long-running AltStar Awards and AltStar Expo Adds Fan Appreciation Day in Las Vegas

AltStar Expo
The AltStar Expo returns for its third year at the historic Plaza Hotel & Casino in Downtown Las Vegas. This iconic venue blends vintage Rat Pack-era charm with modern edge and its prime location at the head of the legendary Fremont Street Experience puts attendees steps away from the original Las Vegas Strip with its iconic neon skyline. Award-winning photographers will be on hand every day of this event to collaborate with attendees in creating media.

Industry Days (May 29-30) provide valuable networking opportunities with community companies, creators, producers, makers, affiliates, photographers, directors, stylists, and more. These days will feature professional panels such as "What is PR and Why Do People Keep Talking About It?", "VR How-To Seminar," and "Building Community with Your Fans."

The all-new Fan Appreciation Day (May 31) marks an exciting expansion, featuring the debut of the Artist Alley with exclusive demonstrations and meet-and-greets with the world's hottest alternative talent and creators. Fan Appreciation Day will host a robust schedule of panels such as "Alt Model Success in a Mainstream World," "Tips & Tricks for Burlesque & Feature Dancing," "How to Work with Professional Photographers," "Getting Published in Magazines," and "Collaboration and Consent." The day offers fans a rare opportunity to interact directly with their favorite alternative personalities in a creative setting, plus demos and opportunities to create media on the spot.

AltStar Awards
The weekend culminates with the prestigious AltStar Awards on June 1, celebrating excellence across the alternative culture landscape. The ceremony will be held at Swan Dive, a music-focused venue in the vibrant Arts District. With its spacious outdoor patio and wraparound balcony offering downtown skyline views, Swan Dive provides an authentically alternative atmosphere for the awards.

The evening begins with a star-powered red carpet and open bar at 7PM, followed by the awards ceremony at 10PM hosted by MC Jeffrey Damnit and Trophy Goddess Malice McMunn. The night concludes with a special burlesque performance at midnight featuring superstar Angel Beau as part of her exclusive Farewell Tour.
