Lord Abbett Names Seven New Partners

LLC ("Lord Abbett"), an independent, privately held investment management firm, announced the appointment of seven new Partners, effective October 1, 2017. Brooke A. Fapohunda joined Lord Abbett in 2006 and has 15 years of legal experience. As Partner, Deputy General Counsel, she is responsible for managing the group within the Legal department that provides day-to-day support to the Lord Abbett Family of Funds—collaborating with senior personnel on product development, registration and operations; regulatory and governance; and negotiation and oversight of service provider arrangements.

Jamey Lamanna joined Lord Abbett in 2016 and has more than 20 years of information technology experience. As Partner, Chief Information Officer, he is responsible for developing and implementing Lord Abbett's strategy for technology and data management, including managing the firm's technology resources and infrastructure activities.

Eric Ghernati joined the firm in 2014 and has 17 years of industry experience. As Partner, Research Analyst, he is responsible for covering the technology sector for Lord Abbett's Global Equity Research team, which supports all of the firm's equity capabilities.

Philip B. Herman joined Lord Abbett in 2007 and has 18 years of industry experience. As Partner & Portfolio Manager, he is responsible for contributing to Lord Abbett's tax-free fixed income strategies.

Shane M. Magoon joined Lord Abbett in 2004 has almost 15 years of industry experience. As Partner, Trader, he is responsible for covering High Yield Credit for Lord Abbett's Fixed Income Trading tea, which supports all of the firm's taxable fixed-income strategies.

Giulio Martini joined Lord Abbett in 2015 and has more than 30 years of industry experience. As Partner, Director of Strategic Asset Allocation, he is responsible for directing the portfolio management, research, and trading activities for the firm's multi-asset class strategies. Mr. Martini is also responsible for overseeing the firm's currency team. In addition, he is a member of the Investment Leadership Team and leads the Strategic Allocation Committee.

Richard T Nigro joined Lord Abbett in 2005 and has more than 10 years of industry experience. As Partner, Director, Relationship Management, he is responsible for leading the efforts of Lord Abbett's Relationship Management team and oversees the Strategic Relationship Group that manages the business relationships and strategic efforts related to the firm's distribution partners, including broker dealers, private banks, and insurance companies.
