Los Horoscopos de Durango Prepare To Take Center Stage At Baldwin Hills Crenshaw
Award-winning sister duo to appear at free concert on July 28th
LOS ANGELES, July 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- On Sunday, July 28th, a vibrant melody of brass instruments, keyboards and drum beats will fill the air at Baldwin Hills Crenshaw as Los Horoscopos de Durango take center stage. The free concert is offered as part of the popular BHCP Live! Summer Concert Series.
Fronted by sisters Vicky and Marisol Terrazas, Los Horoscopos de Durango is one of the most renowned Duranguense banda groups in North America. The band was founded in Chicago in 1975 by the Terrazas' father, Armando Terrazas, and they proudly carry his legacy today—all the way to the top of the Latin charts. Their music echoes both modern and classic regional Mexican styles, combining the brass instruments of Sinaloa-style banda with keyboards and percussion. In a genre that is filled with men, this female duo is a standout group, with five Billboard Music Awards and one Latin Grammy to their name.
Food will be available for purchase at the performance, with offerings by local restaurants including Buffalo Wild Wings, Fleur de Yucatan and Fatburger.
Outdoor seating is available on a first come first serve basis. Free parking is available in the structure across from Rave Cinemas and throughout the mall property.
