Lowenstein Sandler's Miguel Alexander Pozo Sworn in as President of the Hispanic National Bar Association
NEW YORK, Sept. 10, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Miguel Alexander Pozo, partner at Lowenstein Sandler LLP, was sworn in as President of the Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA) during its 2013 Annual Convention, September 4-7, 2013.
Mr. Pozo is a long-time proponent of the advancement of underrepresented groups in the legal profession. He was elected to the HNBA's Board of Governors in 2004. Prior to this appointment, he served a one-year term as HNBA National Finance Director from 2011 through 2012, followed by a one-year term as the President-Elect between 2012 and 2013. Mr. Pozo has also served as the President for the Hispanic Bar Association of New Jersey, and is Editor-in-Chief of DiversityisNatural.com, Lowenstein Sandler's website exploring issues surrounding underrepresented groups in the legal industry.

In addition to his participation in several legal organizations, Mr. Pozo is also active in philanthropy within his community, serving on the boards of the New Jersey Law and Education Empowerment Project (NJ-LEEP), the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC), and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Newark.
Mr. Pozo received his J.D. from Rutgers University where he was the Managing Editor of Rutgers Race and the Law Review. He earned his B.A. from Hofstra University.
