LPL Financial To Host Career Day For 35 Students From The Preuss School UCSD

SAN DIEGO, March 26, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- LPL Financial LLC – the nation's largest independent broker-dealer, a leading RIA custodian, institutional service provider and a wholly owned subsidiary of LPL Financial Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: LPLA) – is pleased to announce it is hosting an "Explore Your Future Day" on Thursday, March 28^th, at its San Diego offices.

During the midday session the students will meet with LPL Financial executives and employees to explore career goals, and practice interview skills.  The event will also feature an interactive Q&A session, as well as a one-on-one time over lunch during which students will hear first-hand about careers at LPL Financial.

The Preuss School UCSD is a charter middle and high school dedicated to providing an intensive college preparatory education for motivated low-income students who strive to become the first in their families to graduate from a four-year college or university.

Mr. Moore will welcome the students beginning at 11:00 a.m. and then introduce them to a panel of LPL Financial executives, who will share their own career paths and professional journeys. After an open discussion and Q&A session, each student will meet individually for lunch with an LPL Financial executive or employee to further discuss career strategies, interview skills and more. After a behind the scenes tour of LPL Financial, the program will conclude at 2:00 p.m.
