LUCI and Blur Limit Partner to Deliver New Unscripted Series, "Hollywood 360"
First-of-its-kind virtual reality show looks into Hollywood life
AUSTIN, Texas, March 16, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- As 500,000 people descend on Austin, TX for the 2018 SXSW festival, VR/AR creative group Blur Limit and entertainment experience company LUCI continue their successful partnership to deliver their first unscripted series, Hollywood 360. SXSW coverage on Hollywood 360 will include interviews with Justin Hartley, Milo Ventimiglia, and Mandy Moore for the second season finale of America's #1 Drama "This Is Us" as well as hangouts with Tracy Morgan and Tiffany Haddish for their new TBS series, "The Last O.G". As the film and television section of SXSW closes, Hollywood 360 is diving into the music side of SXSW with a wild 360 mosh pit experience with Andrew W.K. and an acoustic set with up and coming artist Morgxn at the Stubhub stage.
Hollywood 360 launched at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival with LUCI, the Silicon Valley based entertainment experience company that focuses on enhancing the emotional connections to content through the senses, and distribution partners iQiyi and Weibo. iQiyi, the #1 video streaming platform in China will air the first-of-its-kind VR show, which takes an immersive look into the life of Hollywood. Jim Parsons ("The Big Bang Theory"), Peter Dinklage ("Game of Thrones"), Jake Gyllenhaal ("Nightcrawler"), Nicolas Cage ("Mandy"), Claire Danes ("Homeland"), and many other celebrities were filmed in 3D immersive video at the Sundance festival.
Blur Limit continues to travel the globe and create film, television series and music media in VR. Blur Limit produces everything in 8K stereoscopic live-action video for a full 360-degree experience transporting users onto red carpets of movie premieres, award shows and into intimate celebrity hangouts. Blur Limit was formed by the international team of Azel James, Rob Cosnahan, John Trozak and Chip Li. As the creator of China's #1 entertainment show "This Week in Hollywood," Azel James is also known for his work in branded content with clients such as Coca Cola, Vita Coco, and Red Bull. He has also brought the Golden Globes, Emmys, and American Music Awards live to China for the first time ever. Rob Cosnahan has directed Psycho Hillbilly Cabin Massacre. John Trozak has created and produced some of the most successful and highly visible AR experiences in media for Blizzard Entertainment's "Diablo III" and 20th Century Fox's "Wolverine". He was also a writer on Audience Network's "LOUDERMILK," created by Peter Farrelly, starring Ron Livingston. Chip Li, the creator of the LinkedIn Hire VR series for top brands, was awarded China's best VR creator in advertisement.
