NEW YORK, Dec. 3, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- LuckyLocal.com (http://www.luckylocal.com), a free consumer site which lets shoppers research products on-line and pick them up locally, today announced an application program interface (API) to seamlessly enable hyper-local & affiliate network sites to help shoppers research a purchase online and conveniently pick it up locally.

Lucky Local has been developing the technology for the past year to provide affiliates with access to product information, pricing comparisons and real-time inventory availability so they can cater to the growing consumer demand for hyper-local content and services. The API facilitates integration and generates and tracks commissions for both e-commerce and local in-store sales. It supports the company's goal of extending its local search functionality by enrolling thousands of affiliate and hyper-local sites. This strategy contrasts that of Milo.com, a competitor recently acquired by e-Bay.
