Luxe Helps Philadelphia Get Ready For The Papal Visit And Expands City Coverage

PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Luxe, the most downloaded on-demand valet parking service app, today announced an extension to its long-term storage service for Philadelphia Center City residents, who are being asked to remove their vehicles from the street in order to prepare for Pope Francis' visit on September 26 and 27. With 1.5 million visitors expected to welcome the Pope to the World Meeting of Families, the City is creating a secure vehicle perimeter within the Francis Festival grounds to ensure safety. Because of this secure vehicle perimeter, residents that typically street park their cars in the secure area will need to remove their vehicles from the street or will be towed.

"To plan for the Pope's visit to Philadelphia, many local businesses have been playing their part to make the weekend a success for the City," said Amy Yozviak, General Manager of Luxe in Philadelphia. "Luxe wants to help Center City residents by getting their cars off the streets before the weekend, and into one of our secure garages, in an easy and affordable manner."

Starting on Wednesday, September 23 and Thursday, September 24, residents can use the Luxe app to have a Luxe valet park their car for $20 a day, while Luxe is waiving its overnight fee of $15. The cars will be safely stored until street parking resumes on Monday, September 28 when residents can simply request via the Luxe app for a valet to return their car back to their residence. Due to anticipated high demand, residents interested in storing their cars with Luxe are being asked to sign up via the Luxe Philadelphia website (www.luxe.com/philadelphia) or email [email protected].

Additionally, Luxe is announcing an expanded service area in Philadelphia. Due to an increase in commuter and resident demand for monthly subscriptions, the new coverage area will be Vine Street to South Street and 24th to 12th Streets.
