Lyft becomes the official rideshare partner of Events DC

WASHINGTON, Oct. 12, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Lyft, the fastest growing rideshare company in the U.S., and Events DC, the official convention and sports authority for the District of Columbia, announce an exclusive partnership making Lyft the official rideshare partner of Events DC. While this mutually beneficial agreement will enhance corporate brand awareness and consumer engagement for both organizations, Lyft will gain increased access to the diverse audiences of more than 1.9 million visitors Events DC attracts annually to the nation's capital.

Lyft has become the official rideshare partner of Events DC, which will increase brand presence at all Events DC managed facilities, including the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, across the whole 190-acre RFK Stadium-Armory Campus and the brand new Entertainment and Sports Arena in Congress Heights.  This formal partnership will provide an ease of use for the thousands of passengers and drivers who are currently taking Lyft to the various events within these facilities by providing dedicated pickup and drop-off zones, which can be customized for each event accounting for traffic patterns.
