Lynn University signs $1 million deal with adidas
adidas will be the official brand of the national champion Fighting Knights through 2020
BOCA RATON, Fla., April 5, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Lynn University has signed a deal that will extend its partnership with adidas through 2020. The four-year deal, worth more than $1 million in promotional allotment and price discounts, extends a pre-existing partnership between Lynn and adidas authorized dealer Baker's Sports. As part of the deal, adidas will be the official athletic footwear, apparel and accessory brand of all 14 NCAA Division II Fighting Knights teams through the 2019–2020 season.

The deal comes as four Fighting Knights teams contend for national titles and tennis coach Mike Perez records his 1,000th career win. Perez, who has led the Fighting Knights tennis teams to seven national championships, has been a coach at Lynn since 1990. Lynn's men's and women's tennis are ranked ninth and fifth respectively. Men's and women's golf are currently both ranked seventh. Men's lacrosse is ranked eighteenth. The women's swimming team recently finished among the top 20 at the NCAA championships, and graduate student Rebecca Matthews was national champion in the 200-yard breaststroke.
