Mac Duggal Designing Miss World Gown for Elizabeth Safrit, Miss United States 2014

CHICAGO, Sept. 2, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Mac Duggal has been selected to design the Miss World competition pageant gown for Elizabeth Safrit, Miss United States 2014. The Miss World pageant will be held in London on December 14, 2014. On Tuesday afternoon, Elizabeth Safrit traveled to the Mac Duggal headquarters in Chicago, IL to work with the Mac Duggal team on her upcoming Miss World gown and wardrobe.

Elizabeth called upon Mac Duggal's passion to create a truly unique gown fit for the Miss World competition and its audience of over a billion viewers. Mac's final design for the gown took into account the style sensibilities of Elizabeth and Christopher W. Wilmer, National Director of the Miss United States Organization, as well as his vision for a gown that would embrace Elizabeth's natural beauty.

Preparing both mentally and physically for the competition, Elizabeth looks forward to the interview and talent segments. Ready to speak about her two platforms, Rock the Vote and Amnesty International, she looks forward to inspiring others to make a change in the world. Elizabeth emphasized the importance of continuing service both as Miss United States and from every moment forward. She is also training for her talent, ballet, with intense workouts twice a day.

Both Mac Duggal and the Miss United States organization are anxiously awaiting Elizabeth's return to the pageant stage. She will be the first Miss United States to compete at Miss World, the world's longest running and largest pageant with one-hundred twenty-five countries competing.
