Madeleno Joins FORTECH Products As Chief Operating Officer

BRIGHTON, Mich., May 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Luis Madeleno has joined FORTECH Products as chief operating officer (COO) with responsibility for the company's growing operations in the United States, Brazil, Mexico and the Asia Pacific region.

Madeleno previously served as COO for Sodecia Corporation's Asia-Pacific operations. Based in Brighton, FORTECH is a major provider of corrosion-resistant coatings, metal-forming lubricants and contract packaging services for the auto industry.

In addition to Sodecia, Madeleno has held senior management positions at Benteler, General Motors and Delphi. At Benteler he managed key operations in South Africa, France, Spain and Turkey. Previously he had worked with General Motors and Delphi with management assignments in Brazil, Indonesia, Germany, Poland, Russia and Thailand.

A native of Lisbon, Portugal, Madeleno holds a law degree from Portugal's Lisbon University and a master's degree in business administration from the Catholic University of Lisbon. Fluent in English, French, Portuguese and Spanish, he also has studied at Dartmouth University's Tuck Business School and Michigan State University.

Madeleno currently lives in West Bloomfield, Michigan.

Founded in 1994, FORTECH develops and manufactures corrosion resistant water-based paints and coatings for the automotive, recreational vehicle and allied industries. The company also works with a variety of customers to formulate and package aftermarket lubricants and additives.
