Madison Realty Capital Appoints David Speiser as Managing Director

NEW YORK, May 17, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Madison Realty Capital (MRC), an institutionally backed commercial real estate investment firm and asset manager specializing in flexible debt and equity financing solutions for middle-market transactions throughout the United States, has announced the addition of veteran industry professional David Speiser to its expanding executive team.

Mr. Speiser will serve as Managing Director of MRC, where he will lead MRC's internal legal team in the structuring, due diligence and negotiations of acquisitions and originations for the firm. Joshua Zegen, Co-Founder and Managing Member of MRC, made the announcement.

About David Speiser:

David Speiser brings over ten years of experience to Madison Realty Capital. Prior to joining MRC, Mr. Speiser was a Senior Vice President at Related Companies, where he was responsible for legal affairs and operational matters for numerous transactions over his six years. He oversaw a number of projects throughout his tenure at Related, including the 12-million-square-foot Hudson Yards development on the far West Side of Manhattan, a $500 million multi-family investment fund, and numerous portfolio investments for Related's $825 million distressed opportunity fund. 

Prior to joining Related, Mr. Speiser practiced real estate law at the law firms of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP and Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP. Mr. Speiser earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, from Binghamton University in 1997, and a Juris Doctor degree from New York University School of Law in 2001, where he was a member of the Law Review.
