Magellan Launches New 2012 RoadMate Auto GPS Family to Maximize Drivers' Time, Safety and Convenience & Provide a More Intuitive Driving Experience

The new Magellan RoadMate 2210, 2210T, 2220-LM, 2230T-LM, 5220-LM, 5230T-LM and 5235T-LM models feature 'Landmark Guidance' which gives drivers an easier way to navigate to their destinations.  Instead of presenting the driver only with street names that may be hard to locate and read, the Magellan RoadMate GPS tells drivers to turn at familiar landmarks such as gas stations, banks, stores or other large, easily-seen places.   

Powered by PhantomALERT™, the new Magellan GPS devices feature 'Traffic Camera Alerts' that warn drivers about upcoming red light and speed cameras on their route. This valuable feature will continue to warn drivers of upcoming traffic cameras even when the Magellan RoadMate is not being used for navigation purposes, and is available with free updates for the first year. To further help reduce roadway confusion and improve driver safety, the new Magellan RoadMate GPS models feature 'Junction View'. This new feature displays a realistic image of the road and highway signs, and shows drivers the correct lane that the vehicle needs to be in for safe merging and exits during their trip.
