Advancing the Breakthrough PSB Blood Test Toward Global Adoption and a New Standard of Care in Prostate Cancer Detection

NEW YORK, Sept. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- 5Q Spectra will introduce the next major phase of its clinical program for the PSB blood test for prostate cancer at Davos Healthcare on Sept. 14, advancing 15 years of scientific development toward broader clinical validation and adoption in urologic oncology and prostate cancer care.

5Q is undertaking a 'retrospective' study involving more than 250 men, followed in early 2027 by a major 'prospective', randomized clinical study expected to enroll more than 1,000 patients. Together, these studies will further validate 5Q's PSB blood test across a broad, real-world patient population and its ability to quantitatively distinguish different levels of prostate cancer risk following an elevated PSA.

Unlike a simple positive-or-negative result, 5Q's PSB blood test provides urologists with a quantitative score across a continuum of prostate cancer risk — giving physicians and patients a clearer picture of what an elevated PSA may mean and a stronger basis for deciding what should happen next. The prospective study is intended to provide the rigorous level of clinical evidence increasingly important to physicians, insurers, guideline organizations and major health systems considering the adoption of a potential new diagnostic standard.
