Mako Networks Certified as Verifone Managed Network Service Provider for Verifone Commander Point-of-Sale Systems

ELGIN, Ill., Oct. 31, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Mako Networks recently announced it has been certified by Verifone as a Managed Network Service Provider (MNSP) to enhance support of their popular Commander point-of-sale (POS) system. Mako's secure network appliances and VPN Cloud technology replace the Verifone Enhanced Zone Router (EZR) to securely connect customer-owned Verifone Commander POS systems to Verifone's internal support network.

As part of the certification process, Mako's system was extensively lab and field tested by Verifone to ensure compliance with a rigorous set of functionality and security requirements. Certification ensures Mako-connected systems can receive high-speed Verifone remote support of the Commander platform.

Excel Equipment, Inc., after receiving official notice of the MNSP certification by Verifone, announced a partnering agreement to add Mako Networks to Excel's exclusive portfolio as the new firewall/zone router solution for the Verifone Commander. Excel will now make available to their customers a package purchase of the Mako centrally-managed appliance along with Verifone's Commander, combining cutting-edge firewall and networking innovation with the industry leader in petroleum point-of-sale technology.
