MINNEAPOLIS, Aug. 29, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Malt-O-Meal Company has added a new line to its growing portfolio of family friendly cereals with the introduction of Sally's brand cereal—the first Malt-O-Meal brand available in Canada. Landing on Walmart® store shelves in early August, Sally's is the perfect combination of great-tasting ingredients, environmentally friendly packaging, and exceptional value.

Sally's offers a delicious line of affordable cereals that appeal to both kids and adults. With a suggested retail price of $3.00 Canadian, Sally's is priced lower than other national brands' everyday prices. Malt-O-Meal also purchases wind energy credits to offset 100% of the electricity used in the manufacturing of Sally's cereals.

To further reduce its packaging waste, Malt-O-Meal has partnered with TerraCycle® Canada, an international upcycling company that takes packaging materials that can't be recycled and repurposes that material into new, high quality goods. Through this partnership with TerraCycle, consumers can collect empty Sally's cereal bags and return them to TerraCycle for upcycling.

TerraCycle is organizing 650 Brigades in schools, charities and communities across Canada. These Brigades will function as collection sites for Sally's cereal bags.
