Marco Polo Securities Boosts Rewards for Brokers via Launch of ResearchPay

NEW YORK, July 10, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Marco Polo Securities Inc., the New York-based broker-dealer and securities distribution platform is pleased to announce the launch of ResearchPay, a payment solution for brokers around the world who market their products to US institutional investors under its 15a-6 chaperone umbrella. ResearchPay augments or replaces conventional "soft dollar" and CSA arrangements with a more efficient process characterized by quicker payments, higher earning potential, and reduced administration.

ResearchPay is facilitated by Marco Polo's exclusive partnerships with bulge bracket execution firms that already have accounts with the bulk of US buy-side institutions. In this model, non-US firms that are distributing their research – and US institutional investors that are receiving the research – do not need to open accounts directly with one another. The reduced administrative burden increases the willingness for US institutional investors to work with and reward foreign brokers. Brokers also have more opportunities to negotiate greater value for their research. In addition to research distribution, ResearchPay can facilitate the compensation of brokers for their corporate access programs.
