Mark Begor Joins Warburg Pincus As Managing Director

Former General Electric Executive to Join Industrial and Business Services Group

NEW YORK, June 27, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Warburg Pincus, a leading global private equity firm focused on growth investing, today announced the appointment of Mark Begor as a Managing Director in the Industrial and Business Services group. In this role, Mr. Begor will work with the firm's portfolio companies to accelerate growth and enhance operations, as well as help to identify and evaluate investment opportunities.

Mr. Begor joins Warburg Pincus from General Electric ("GE"), where he spent the past 35 years, most recently as a Senior Vice President as well as President and Chief Executive Officer of GE's $8 billion Energy Management business. His roles during his tenure at GE, which spanned the industrial side of the business as well as GE Capital, also included leadership positions in Commercial Real Estate, Capital Restructuring Operations and U.S. Consumer Credit Card businesses. He also served as the Chief Financial Officer at NBCUniversal Media and as GE's Investor Relations leader. Beyond his operating experience, Mark oversaw a large number of acquisitions and dispositions during his GE career.
