Markel promotes Brian Gray to Regional President, West Region, in Markel's Wholesale division

RICHMOND, Va., Oct. 27, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Markel Corporation (NYSE: MKL) announced today that Brian Gray has been promoted to Regional President, West Region, in Markel's Wholesale division. Gray now reports to Bryan Sanders, President of Markel Wholesale. Markel's West Region serves wholesale brokers from offices located in Woodland Hills, California; San Francisco, California; and Scottsdale, Arizona.

Most recently Gray served as Senior Director of Underwriting and Production as part of Markel Wholesale's Midwest Region leadership team in Chicago. He joined Markel in 2003 and has held a variety of underwriting, management, and leadership roles.
