Market6 adds industry veteran Ray Tacoma to corporate board of directors

CINCINNATI, July 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Market6, a leading provider of web-based retail analytic applications, today announced that Ray B. Tacoma, a well-respected software industry veteran, has joined the company's board of directors.

Tacoma brings more than 25 years of senior management experience to the board, with industry-leading organizations including Netezza, MicroStrategy, FileNet, and Oracle. Tacoma will provide extensive domain and industry knowledge to optimize Market6's strategy and execution as it provides retailers and consumer goods companies with SaaS-based retail analytic applications.

Tacoma's career in enterprise software has focused on helping companies develop effective sales models and then deploying those at scale through the development of extremely successful and productive sales organizations. Prior to joining the board of directors at Market6, Tacoma served as vice president of worldwide sales at Netezza, where he grew sales from $5 million to $250 million annually (between 2003 and 2013), which helped position the company for a successful sale to IBM. Prior to Netezza, Tacoma served as vice president of Sales at CoreChange and MicroStrategy. At MicroStrategy, Tacoma built the management structure to support 450 sales teams, led sales during the transition from a private to public company, and grew product and services sales revenue to more than $400M annually. His career in technology, which spans 40 years, also includes time with companies such as DEC, Tandem, Sequent, and nCube/Oracle.
