Marketo Honors the Best of Marketing Nation™ with 2015 Revvie Awards

Winners credit over $2 billion in marketing-sourced revenue to innovative use of engagement marketing

SAN MATEO, Calif., April 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Marketo, Inc. (NASDAQ: MKTO), the leading provider of marketing software and solutions, today announced the 2015 winners of its annual Revvie Awards. The awards highlight the most innovative Marketo customers, partners and individual marketers whose programs have significantly impacted company revenue and built engaging, long-lasting relationships with customers through their use of Marketo's engagement marketing platform. Winners will be honored at the Marketo Marketing Nation™ Summit 2015 at Moscone Center in San Francisco, California.

The 2015 Revvie Award winners are:

Marketing Team of the Year, Enterprise: CA Technologies' marketing team is honored as a Marketo Master for its work driving the adoption of Marketo across 300 users in five geographic sales regions. The team broke down company silos to create more than 9,500 programs for nine global business units, unifying marketing and sales.

Marketing Team of the Year, SMB: PaySimple's marketing team earns the distinction of Marketo Master for effectively scaling marketing capabilities to meet the needs of a rapidly growing business. In Q4 of their second year on the Marketo platform, marketing saved cross-functional teams an estimated 222 hours of work in one quarter and also saw massive lift in new customer logins, transaction volume and webinar attendance.

Marketing Team of the Year, Business to Consumer: St. Edward's University's marketing team is recognized as a Marketo Master for their work targeting prospective students who are starting their higher education search earlier. Through Marketo, St. Edward's has freed itself from stifling legacy data and antiquated email systems, ultimately leading to more inbound requests, ahead-of-schedule application and deposit figures and extra time for staff to innovate.

The Engager, Following the Five Rules of Engagement: Gilbarco Veeder-Root, supported by The Pedowitz Group, is honored as The Engager for its use of an innovative, multi-channel approach that drove more than $8.7 million in qualified leads. Gilbarco exceeded its goals for campaign opens, clicks and opportunities created, and – in just one quarter -- quadrupled the amount of marketing-sourced revenue it had achieved in all of 2014.

The Globe Trotter, Most Successful Global Rollout: GE Healthcare is the Globe Trotter for its rollout of Customer Engagement Automation, a cross-functional initiative that began capturing key customer behavior data, driving commercial actions and influencing the complex healthcare B2B buyer journey. Spanning seven geographic regions and an $18-billion product portfolio, the initiative touched $2 billion in opportunities and $600 million in converted revenue in 2014.

The Transformer, Most Dramatic Improvement Upgrading to Marketo: HeroK12 proved itself to be The Transformer through its impressive 10-day rollout of Marketo that helped it shift from marketing the sales journey to truly marketing the customer journey. The transformation includes better alignment between sales and marketing and improved qualitative and quantitative results.

The Innovator, Most Creative Integrated Marketing Campaign (Business to Business): New Relic, a software analytics company, is highlighted in the B2B category for leveraging Marketo to drive its "We are all data nerds" brand awareness campaign. The campaign used Marketo to target customers and prospects with personalized "miniature billboards" featuring the business benefits of data from software analytics.

The Innovator, Most Creative Integrated Marketing Campaign (Business to Consumer): SketchUp, supported by Intelligent Demand, is recognized as The Innovator, B2C, for using Marketo to improve its database quality, sales-related clicks and industry-specific click-through. SketchUp's innovation has resulted in one of its most successful promotional campaigns to-date and a database of 8 million leads, all with active levels of engagement.

The Integrator, Recognizing the Power of 3rd Party Integrations to Marketo: NextGen Healthcare Information Systems is The Integrator for bringing together a wide range of strategic applications through Marketo. With a deeper understanding of the preferences and interests of their leads and customers, as well as closer integration with sales, NextGen drove growth across the value, volume, win/loss ratio and conversion of marketing-driven opportunities, as well as a reduction in the number of marketing-qualified leads rejected by sales.

The LaunchPoint Innovator: PrintingForLess.com utilized Marketo's Webhook functionality to create PFLink, a tool that enables users to expand marketing automation to offline channels. Digital Agency Superstar: MarketStar, the pioneer of outsourced sales and marketing enablement in the IT partner channel, leverages Marketo to revitalize partners, strengthen reseller relationships and increase revenue. Marketing Executive of the Year, Enterprise: Beki Scarbrough, Vice President of Integrated Marketing at CA Technologies, is a Marketo Master, for her role leading the CA Technologies Global Integrated Marketing Team. Beki drove the launch of six new global demand gen campaigns through Marketo that resulted in more paths to customer conversion than ever before in company history.

Marketing Executive of the Year, SMB: Tara-Nicholle Nelson, Vice President of Marketing at Under Armour Connected Fitness, is highlighted for her leadership on the MyFitnessPal marketing team. Tara worked with Marketo to deliver on the vision of MyFitnessPal as a deeply integrated health and fitness tool in their 85 million users' daily lives. With Tara's strategy, MyFitnessPal does not just touch members when they track food and exercise; it is now engaged in an everyday relationship with users through content that makes living a healthy life easier.

Marketer of the Year, Enterprise: Ashleigh Davis, Manager, Marketing Automation Operations at Trend Micro, is a 2012 Revvie winner and 2015 Marketo Master who credits her career growth in part to her knowledge of Marketo. Just a few months into overseeing Trend Micro's rollout of Marketo in North America, Ashleigh has recorded an overall 520 percent increase in conversion rates thanks to better sales insights and lead scoring.

Marketer of the Year, SMB: Dan Prokop, Marketing Manager at MECCO, is recognized as a Marketo Master for his work discovering and implementing Marketo to help the company become more profitable without increasing staff.
