Marlette Funding, LLC Launches Best Egg, a New Approach to Debt Consolidation

WILMINGTON, Del., March 12, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Marlette Funding, LLC, a national lender of unsecured personal loans, announced today the launch of Best Egg, a streamlined approach to lending that enables consumers to borrow money online at competitive rates without administrative hassles or long waiting periods.

Over 15 million consumers in the US with good credit scores have more than $10,000 in credit card debt. Although these consumers manage to consistently pay their cards on time, it will take more than 25 years to pay down their debt making only minimum payments. Best Egg puts consumers on a path to pay down that debt in as little as 3 years. Customers can borrow as much as $35,000 with fixed interest rates that are lower than most credit cards starting at 5.32%.

Ritterbeck added that with most of the "too-big-to-fail" banks minimizing their participation in the personal loan space, the doors have been opened for players that take a different approach like Best Egg's streamlined lending platform and the emergence of peer-to-peer lenders. Both have simplified the process of obtaining a personal loan versus the typical process offered by banks and credit unions.

"But unlike peer-to-peer lending, borrowers don't need to post a Best Egg loan and hope investors will fund it," Ritterbeck said.

Marlette Funding is partnering with Cross River Bank to grant Best Egg loans to consumers. Best Egg loan applications are processed online and approvals can take just minutes. Approved loan proceeds can be sent to the borrower's bank account the next day. In addition to reducing consumer debt, Best Egg loans can also be used for large purchases such as home remodeling, medical expenses, and travel.
