Marriott International Will Sponsor High Five Tour 2017
OMAHA, Neb., May 30, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Wounded Warriors Family Support is proud to announce that Marriott International is the sponsor for the High Five Tour 2017.
Marriott International is a leading global lodging company with more than 6,000 properties in 122 countries and territories. The company, based in Bethesda, Maryland, was founded by J. Willard and Alice Marriott and has been guided by family leadership for nearly 90 years.
"We are excited to have Marriott International's partnership with the High Five Tour 2017 and its support for wounded veterans and their families, as well as our country's active and retired military and their families around the world," said Col. John Folsom, USMCR (Ret.), founder and president of Wounded Warriors Family Support. "Marriott International and our additional sponsors, such as Ford and the United Automobile Workers, help us make a real, tangible difference that will change the lives of deserving wounded warriors and their families."
During the tour, which concludes Labor Day, Wounded Warriors Family Support's 2017 Ford F-250 – wrapped in a patriotic design – will travel 5,000-plus miles during a trek to 29 cities in nine states. The High Five Tour will make public appearances at Quaker Steak & Lube locations in Iowa, Kentucky and Ohio.
The High Five Tour's mission is to say "thank you" and show appreciation to military families for their sacrifices. The tour's goal is to raise $1 million, which will sustain Wounded Warriors Family Support's programs to support combat wounded veterans and their families. During a tour stop, residents are encouraged to sign the vehicle with a message of gratitude to our country's veterans and families.
