Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina To Undergo $7 Million Marina Renovation Beginning Late 2015
Renovation at the Downtown San Diego hotel will include the replacement of existing marina structures as well as the construction of a new restroom and laundry facility
SAN DIEGO, July 14, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- A new tide is coming in at Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina. To the delight of enthusiastic San Diego yachters, the luxury hotel has scheduled a $7 million marina renovation that will begin in the final quarter of 2015.
The renovation, which represents an investment by Host Hotels & Resorts, will include the replacement or repair of wood and concrete structures, power panels, rub rails and cleats throughout the 446-slip marina, which is home to approximately 450 yachts. The renovation will be completed one dock at a time, and vessels that are displaced during the overhaul will be temporarily relocated to other areas in the Marina or to other local marinas.
The hotel will also build a new restroom and coin-operated laundry facility for the convenience of marina visitors.
