MILWAUKEE, April 16, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Marshall & Swift/Boeckh (MSB), the premier enterprise information, analytics and workflow provider, today announced that it has made several enhancements to the MSB claims dataset to provide even greater detail to property claims customers.
These enhancements will be available to all customers using the MSB claims dataset, including customers using enterprise solutions that combine Symbility Solutions' workflow software with MSB's market-leading data.
The MSB claims database exceeds 27,500 items and offers twice as many localizations as other claims data offerings. It now is expanding further to include even more information to handle the smallest details for specialized remediation and restoration work. It also is set up for ITEL pricing program participation and recycling programs (for example, shingles) ensuring customers have the granularity and options they need to manage their operations even more effectively.
Dozens of other enhancements have also been made, including enhanced comment sections for "what's included" price detail; enhanced material and item descriptions to provide even more clarity; and enhanced search capability using synonyms. A new "related items" feature brings up associated and commonly used line-item operations and a new "replace with" feature retrieves similar items and quality grades – all with one simple click. Additionally, the dataset has expanded to include more than 300 new mobile home items of various grades and additional commercial grade items. Life expectancies and waste percentages have been updated to further enhance lost estimation pricing accuracy.
"We continue to actively add more materials and construction methods data and to work closely with mitigation and remediation specialists that our carrier customers are increasingly relying on to complete claims work," said Chris Cartwright, Chief Executive Officer, MSB. "We have the most comprehensive dataset, and our ongoing investments support the expanding use of our data throughout the insurance industry."
