TACOMA, Wash., May 18, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Mary Bridge Children's Hospital, a pediatric health network in Washington state, announced that after a nationwide search the organization named Linda Chen the new president effective June 15.
Chen, who currently serves as the chief network and market officer at Walt Disney Pavilion at Florida Hospital for Children in Orlando, will work to improve the health and wellness of Puget Sound communities and to build Mary Bridge's network of clinics and physicians.
This is a new position at Mary Bridge, added as the organization looks to meet the growing needs of the communities it serves in Western Washington. Mary Bridge is a part of MultiCare Health System.

In her new role at Mary Bridge, Linda will build strong relationships and strategic partnerships that align with the hospital and health network's mission to deliver the best possible care for children.

Chen has worked at Florida Hospital for Children since 2010. While there, she created strategies that includes: development of hybrid models of pediatric care in partnership with network hospitals, new retail pediatric urgent care centers, deployed telemedicine services across the network and created franchise pediatric emergency services within adult departments to provide a higher level of care for children.
Prior to Florida Hospital, Chen's career was spent in the sports and entertainment industry, where she developed innovative brand partnerships. She also worked for The Walt Disney Company from 2000 to 2005 in the Alliance Development business segment. She holds a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology/Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin and a master's degree in Business Administration from Stetson University in Florida.
