Master Spas Launches "Summer of St. Jude" to Support Childhood Cancer Research

Goal: Raise $250,000 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital

FORT WAYNE, Ind., July 1, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Master Spas, a leading manufacturer of premium hot tubs and swim spas, has launched its Summer of St. Jude campaign, a nationwide initiative to raise $250,000 in support of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and its mission to end childhood cancer.

Running from July 1 through September 30, the campaign invites participating dealers across the country to donate a portion of every Master Spas product sold.

"Giving back is part of who we are," says Kevin Richards, President of Master Spas. "Through Master Spas Cares, we've raised millions for causes close to our hearts. With Summer of St. Jude, we're deepening our commitment to helping children live longer, healthier lives."

For Brandi Clewell, that support is deeply personal. In July 2020, her then 3-year-old son, Lenny Njagi, experienced a 10-minute seizure. Doctors discovered a large brain tumor and her family's world changed.

"I truly think the only reason he's still here is because of St. Jude," Clewell says. "Nobody else gave us that hope or that chance, and I am so thankful for them every day."

Lenny underwent six brain surgeries in the first five weeks after his diagnosis and received more than a year of treatment at St. Jude. Today, he's a joyful 8-year-old who continues to receive follow-up care through the hospital, including speech therapy and support for hearing loss caused by chemotherapy.

Lenny and his family live in northeast Indiana, just a short drive from the Master Spas campus. Connected through St. Jude, Brandi and Lenny had the opportunity to visit the company headquarters, tour the facility, and share their story with the Master Spas family.

The Summer of St. Jude campaign runs through September, which is also Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Master Spas hopes to bring greater visibility to St. Jude's mission — and support more families like Lenny's.

St. Jude families never receive a bill for treatment, travel, housing, or food. Since opening in 1962, St. Jude has helped raise the childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80%.
