Master Your Card Celebrates Bronx Schools' Involvement in Innovative Youth Financial Education Program with EVERFI
NEW YORK, Dec. 7, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Master Your Card, a community empowerment education program sponsored by Mastercard®, joined educators, special guests, and more than 75 high-school students this week at the Academy for Scholarship and Entrepreneurship in the Bronx who are participating in an interactive, digital financial education program aimed at empowering students to make smart financial decisions. The program is part of Master Your Card's ongoing partnership with EVERFI, Inc., the nation's leading education technology company.

The Master Your Card School Program with EVERFI is part of a community initiative aimed at providing financial education to students at no cost to schools or taxpayers. The program features an interactive, new-media learning platform specifically designed to introduce financial literacy skills and build financial capacity necessary as students transition into adulthood. Through this digital financial education course, students are immersed in real-life financial scenarios and documentation. The course allows students to move at their own pace, providing bite-sized instructional animations that make finance topics approachable and relatable. In addition to hearing from representatives with EVERFI and Master Your Card, students also received advice from the School's Principal, Ms. Zenobia White, and World of Money's Founder and CEO Sabrina Lamb.

Since its launch in 2016, the Master Your Card School Program with EVERFI has reached more than 20,000 students in financially underserved communities. The program is currently focused on reaching students in New York City and Greater St. Louis.
