Mattamy Homes named Builder of the Year by HBA of Charlotte

Leading homebuilder adds to impressive local awards total

CHARLOTTE, NC, June 26, 2014 /PRNewswire/ - Mattamy Homes' Charlotte Division collected seven awards in the Home Builders Association of Charlotte's 2014 Major Achievement in Market Excellence Awards (MAME) Awards, including the coveted Builder of the Year title.

The MAME Awards are hosted by the HBA of Charlotte through its Sales & Marketing Council, which is dedicated to new home sales and marketing expertise. The awards acknowledge distinction and quality workmanship demonstrated in the Charlotte homebuilding industry during 2013, from product design to each element of marketing.

Amongst Mattamy's numerous accolades were Gold awards for model home merchandising and product design floor plans, and a Silver for Sales Info Center.

Since 2010, Mattamy has won nearly 50 industry awards in Charlotte.

"Winning these awards is a testament to the growing reputation we have in the Charlotte market, where Mattamy Homes has become known as a leader in product design and model merchandising," says Robert Kardos, President of Mattamy's Charlotte Division. "Being recognized by our peers in the industry as Builder of the Year is certainly an incredible honor. It really says a lot about who we are, and that others have taken notice. It's something we're very proud of."

Mattamy is making a name for itself with unique architecture, elevations and design details, says Kardos. "Our homes are very well designed, carefully thought through, all the way down to the smallest of details. Our floor plans are dynamic yet livable with little wasted space. Mattamy homes are not the typical 'box' homes that you see with some other new homes being built in our same price points – we have enhanced elevations that provide a unique depth and details such as second floor balconies and upgraded exterior architectural features that really set us apart. We're not afraid to use a mixture of colors and materials on the elevations to make each home really look unique."
